Province’s grant expanding outdoor recreation in Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry.
HALLVILLE – The Ontario government has invested $200k to open North Dundas’ first-ever splash pad, a new outdoor recreation amenity in SDG. The new splash pad will serve as a welcoming space for families, friends and visitors in SDG to cool off, play, and stay active in the summer months.
“As families and friends across SDG enjoy the summer weather, accessible outdoor spaces keep our communities engaged, connected and active,” said Nolan Quinn, MPP for Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry. “By investing in North Dundas’ first-ever splash pad, we are ensuring that everyone in SDG can stay cool while building long-lasting memories right in our community.”
Funded through the Ontario Trillium Foundation, the new, interactive splash pad is a dynamic addition to the recently developed Brian Telford Community Park in Hallville.
“This project represents an exciting milestone for our municipality as we welcome our township’s first splash pad and continue creating spaces that bring families together,” said Meena Muller, CAO of the Township of North Dundas. “We are grateful for the funding support from OTF for the splash pad project in helping us create a space where families can connect, children can enjoy outdoor waterplay and our community can continue to thrive.”
