Ontario Recognizes Local Volunteers of Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry at the 2023 Volunteer Service Awards

Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry – On October 11, 2023, the Ontario government and representatives of MPP Nolan Quinn’s office celebrated the 2023 Ontario Volunteer Service Awards where 29 local volunteers of Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry were recognized and awarded for their continuous volunteer service of 5 or more years.
“Volunteers are the backbone of our community. The time, hard work, and dedication they put into our community is truly inspiring,” said Nolan Quinn, MPP for Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry. “Congratulations to the recipients of the 2023 Volunteer Service Awards and thank you for all that you’ve done. The compassion you have shown when volunteering with a charity, not-for-profit organization, or person, will set a great example for others to volunteer and give back to the community.”
Our local volunteers have been awarded for 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, and 45 years of continuous volunteer service. The recipients of the 2023 Ontario Volunteer Service Awards for Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry are Marilyn Adams, Richard Charlebois and his late wife Suzanne Girard, Tina DeJong, Julie Garreau, Gerry Gurnhill, Carol Harpur, Bill Hoftyzer, Tim Kirkby, Claire Locke, Elizabeth Locke, Lynn MacDonell, Melinda Main, Donald James McDonald, Gail Montgomery, Ken Montgomery, Ted Naugler, Barb Rabideau, Linda Robinson, Keith Robinson, Shannon Rohr-Sinnott, Mike Snetsinger, Mark St. John, Shaun St. Pierre, Nathalie Summers, Cheryl Tourangeau, Bea VanGilst, David Wattie, and Vince Zandbelt.
Volunteers in Ontario are recognized every year. The deadline to nominate a volunteer for the 2024 Volunteer Service Awards is November 15, 2023.
