Province funding the replacement of park equipment and surfacing to enhance safety and accessibility across South Stormont.
South Stormont― The Ontario government is providing the Township of South Stormont with $198,800 in funding through the Ontario Trillium Foundation’s (OTF) Capital grant stream. This investment will be used to replace park equipment, structures, and surfacing at the parks in Bonville, Northfield, Ingleside (Hoople Street), and Long Sault (Loyalist Crescent) to enhance safety and accessibility.
“From a family’s first adventure on the playground and picnics alongside friends, SDG’s parks are at the heart of our communities,” said Nolan Quinn, MPP for Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry. “Through our government’s investment, we are ensuring that parks across SDG can make meaningful upgrades that improve safety and enhance accessibility for family and friends to enjoy for generations to come.”
OTF’s Capital grant stream helps organizations improve their infrastructure so they can continue delivering programs and services that Ontarians need to thrive. Whether it’s purchasing equipment, building a new space or completing renovations, retrofits or repairs, these grants support projects that are making a difference in SDG.
The Capital grant stream is part of the government’s plan to protect Ontario by investing in community infrastructure, supporting local organizations and creating the conditions for long-term economic growth and prosperity.
