Province funding the resurfacing of J.C. Whitteker Park with modern multi-use courts to provide inclusive, accessible, year-round recreation for all.
South Dundas ― The Ontario government is providing the Municipality of South Dundas with $168,600 in funding through the Ontario Trillium Foundation’s (OTF) Capital grant stream. This investment will be used to replace J.C. Whitteker Park’s aging asphalt playing surface with modern multi-use courts to provide inclusive, accessible, year-round recreation for all.
“Community sports do more than keep us active, they bring SDG together,” said Nolan Quinn, MPP for Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry. “This funding from our government is ensuring that families and friends can enjoy the court at J.C. Whitteker Park all year long today, and into the future.”
OTF’s Capital grant stream helps organizations improve their infrastructure so they can continue delivering programs and services that Ontarians need to thrive. Whether it’s purchasing equipment, building a new space or completing renovations, retrofits or repairs, these grants support projects that are making a difference in SDG.
The Capital grant stream is part of the government’s plan to protect Ontario by investing in community infrastructure, supporting local organizations and creating the conditions for long-term economic growth and prosperity.
