Ontario Government Supporting Critical Community Programs and Services in Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry

Local non-profit organization receiving $63,900 in funding

Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry ― The Ontario government is providing a non-profit organization in Cornwall with $63,900 in funding this year through the Ontario Trillium Foundation’s (OTF) Seed grant stream. The funding will help provide local residents better access to the critical programs, services, activities and spaces that make Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry a great place to live, work and play.

“Organizations such as the Tri-County Literacy Council are pillars of our community,” said Nolan Quinn, MPP for Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry. “Our government is proud to support these organizations so they can continue improving the lives of residents in Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry for years to come.”

OTF’s Seed grant stream helps organizations build resilience and enhance their ability to deliver programs and services that directly benefit community members. Grantees can use their funding to support organizational planning, pilot a new program and/or build their organizational capacity to plan for future programs and services for the people of Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry.

  • Tri-County Literacy Council

“In Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry and all across Ontario, non-profit organizations are delivering critical programming that is helping people train for new careers, stay active, learn new things, and connect with their community,” said Stan Cho, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Gaming. “This Seed grant funding will help ensure these non-profits can build their capacity and prepare for the future so they can continue to support the needs of communities across our province today and tomorrow.”
