Governments Strengthening Agricultural Productivity and Sustainability

Lisa Thompson, Minister of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs, announced the new Ontario Agricultural Sustainability Initiative (OASI).

The governments of Canada and Ontario are investing over $68 million through the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (Sustainable CAP).

Funding through OASI will support Ontario farmers in making their operations more productive and resilient. Three programs will be available under this initiative:

• Resilient Agricultural Landscape Program (RALP)
• Agricultural Stewardship Initiative (ASI)
• On-Farm Applied Research and Monitoring (ONFARM)
