Government’s Bolstering Food Supply System

Lisa Thompson, Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, announced that the governments of Canada and Ontario are investing up to $7.5 million through the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership to support eligible agri-food businesses and contributors in enhancing their biosecurity measures.

This investment through the Biosecurity Enhancement Initiative will ensure:

• Stronger animal and plant health
• Improved food safety
• Heightened operational resilience within our agri-food sector.
